I am a big fan of Scandinavian Retro style – I love the colors and danish furniture used in this space.
I find this sleek simplicity of Cow & Co shop design to be very inspiring hopefully for my studio interior one day! The plumbing pipes used as shelving system is a brilliant idea!
Within both retail outlets OSB (oriented strand board) has been utilized as the primary construction material, stained and treated differently to suit their selected site. The front of each compact store features a point of sale counter along with a tester bar arranged in such a way that they allow for easy customer flow as well as comfortable client consultations. All products are displayed along the back and side walls of both spaces.
My most inspiring places to sit, relax and eat in Durban has got to be any of the talented Neil Roarke’s restaurants. I love the brand around Craft – the attention to detail, what it stands for and the quirky elements that are scattered around the place.
I love the “rawness” of this Greek restaurant in Sydney called The Apollo – never thought bare and rugged concrete could look that good.
I love collecting quirky bits and pieces and spray painting sometimes in order to fit in certain type of environment – this space full of found quirky objects is really up my alley!

I would love to visit Clarke’s bar and dining room the next time I go to Cape Town – they are situated in Bree Street. I love the industrial and minimal look mixed with indoor plants. The interior was designed by industrial designer Liam Mooney who I am a big fan of. All look like this could be my happy place – and the food looks delicious!
